What is Pilates?

Created in the 1920’s by Joseph H. Pilates as a method of mind-body exercise he called “Contrology”, what we now call Pilates has become an increasingly popular form of total body conditioning.

Nearly a century later, Pilates has evolved in many ways, but the 6 Principles:

• Centering • Control
• Breath • Concentration
• Precision • Flow

and the Experience remain the same.
